The Jauch RTC Modules (3.2 × 2.5 mm) integrate the real-time clock (RTC) function, oscillator circuitry, and a 32.768 kHz Quartz Crystal into a single compact component. This eliminates the need for oscillator fine-tuning, reduces the bill of materials, and results in a layout that is more robust against external influences.
Selected variants additionally provide a temperature-compensated time base with high frequency stability across the entire operating temperature range.
The alarm and wake-up timers enable extended sleep phases of the microcontroller and wake it only when required – ideal for energy-optimized systems.
Typical applications:
BMS, IoT sensors and gateways, smart meters, security systems, and industrial automation – for reliable timekeeping, wake-ups, data logging, and synchronization.
3.2 × 2.5 mm SMD RTC Modules with an integrated time base, featuring RTC timekeeping, calendar, alarm, and wake-up timer functions.
Temperature-compensated versions deliver high time accuracy (e.g., ±5 ppm or ±3.4 ppm from –40 to +85 °C), extended temperature ranges up to +105 °C, an I²C INTERFACE, ultra-low backup currents (typically 100–350 nA), and automatic power switching.
Functions:
Timekeeping and calendar; alarm and wake-up timer; backup battery management; selectable clock output: 32.768 kHz / 1,024 Hz / 1 Hz; optional, model-dependent features: event inputs, time-stamp function, and more
